What Makes This Different

Not a showcase. A development event.

Most events test players and send them home with a number. We spend four days building the player behind the number at the Baltimore Orioles Player Development Complex, with coaches who actually teach between reps.

A showcase tells you where you are today. Athlete Standard shows you how to get where you want to be.

/ 01 / The Venue

Baltimore Orioles Player Development Complex

Multi-field facility in Sarasota. The same bullpens, cages, and turf system the Orioles use for their professional players. You train where they train.

/ 02 / The Coaches

Small Groups. Real Attention.

Small enough groups that a coach is watching your swing, not a crowd of thirty. We coach you to find the problem yourself, so you can still make the fix on your own long after we're gone.

/ 03 / The Standard

Four Days. One Blueprint.

Ignition. Foundation. Pressure. Ownership. Each day builds on the last. You leave with a development plan you actually use.

Why Athlete Standard

Development comes first. Everything else follows.

Athlete Standard was founded by coaches and developers who spent their careers building players, not just evaluating them. Our staff brings over 20 years of combined experience across professional baseball, collegiate coaching, minor league instruction, and national player development programs. We have worked with athletes at every level, from youth development through the professional ranks.

We built Athlete Standard because we saw the same gap, year after year. Players would attend a showcase, receive a number, and leave with no clear path forward. Tournaments give athletes a place to compete. Showcases give athletes a snapshot. Neither one gives them the tools to actually improve.

That is the space we built this for. At Athlete Standard, athletes get an honest evaluation. They get real instruction. They get a development plan they can act on before their next event. The environment is designed for players to push their limits, try new things, and fail forward, without the pressure of performing for a scout on day one.

Our comprehensive evaluations identify strengths, expose weaknesses, and deliver a clear, actionable development plan built specifically for each athlete. No guesswork. No generic feedback. Just a proven blueprint for measurable improvement.

We believe development comes first. Everything else follows.
